Analysis on Tangshan MS4.8 Earthquake on May 28th, 2012

  • 摘要: 2012年5月28日唐山发生MS4.8地震,该地震发生在唐山断裂带上,地震的主破裂面走向与唐山断裂带走向一致,错动方式以走滑为主,地震序列是主震-余震型。震前两个月,从天津汉沽到北京平谷快速形成一条NW走向的ML1.0以上小震条带,该条带可能是唐山老震区未来地震活动增强的一个窗口,这对判断未来中强震的震中有一定的指导意义。

     

    Abstract: On May 28th, 2012, an MS4.8 earthquake occurred on Tangshan fault zone, its main rupture surface is strike-slip type and consistent with the fault zone.The earthquake sequence is mainshock-aftershock type.Just two months before the earthquake, an earthquake belt made up of small earthquakes of ML≥1.0 formed from Tianjin Hangu to Beijing Pinggu, which may be seen as an seismic-window to Tangshan old seismic region and has certain guiding significance to estimating the epicenter of moderate-strong earthquake in the future.
